Congratulations to our friend Booker, who has found his forever home with Vikie and her shepherd-lab mix, Cookie!
Hello Paula!
Zach and I thought we should send you a few photos of Blake. He found his
favorite spot in the house (a comfy white leather chair). He is gaining
weight slowly, but surely. He loves to play with his squeeky toys and run
around in Zach's parents' backyard with their dog Lacie (a pitbull/rhodesian
ridgeback mix). We really love his personality and he fits in with us
perfectly.
Thank you!
Kelsey, Zach and Blake too!

Just wanted to send a quick update on how we are doing. I've recently bought a new place for Elby and I, and he is loving is even bigger yard to run and play. We also completed our Therapy Dog certification and now volunteer at a local nursing home visiting the residents.
Attached are a couple pics of Elby - the first is more the typical day, lounging around the house. The second is his third place finish in the Dog Olympics - the event was longest tail. I was SO proud!

Congratulations to both you guys, looks like you are both BIG WINNERS!!
Our thanks to Jennifer D. and her family for sharing these lovely photos and lovely sentiment about their recently adopted Forever Home Boy, "SCOTTY"
Letter from the "mom":
It's been a wonderful week with our two sweet boys. Juno is just the sweetest dog - he seems more at home everyday and is opening up to us more and more. He follows Carson around the house like a little shadow. His favorite pastime is carrying his toys from one end of the house to the other (toys squeaking all the way!) ...then back....then back again, etc! The spraying is definitely better - in fact we have only had a couple instances since we talked to you last Sunday.
And Carson is just the happiest boy to have another grey in the house. You were SO right...he was lonely when we were at work. He didn't wet or mess the house this week...not once. Amazing! We both can see a difference in him...he's an even happier boy and I wouldn't have thought that possible...that tail is always wagging! And he no longer hangs his head when I leave for work in the morning. Sometimes I think of the look on his face the day we got him - when he was brought in the store & stood on the dog bed looking so upset.....I could just cry because he is just an exceptional animal.
It's easy to see who has their new family wrapped firmly around their little dew claw . Thanks to Bill & Angel R. for sharing this greyt pic of their new baby, "KELLY", now known as LEXI, contently lounging on her new king sized doggy bed. Congrats all the way around. Looks like everyone is a winner here!
Our thanks to Trevor's new Forever Family for sharing this photo of the very handsome "TREVOR", who seems to have blended right into the family with no trouble at all. Congrats TREVOR, you are one lucky little Greyhound!!
Thanx to Brian & Jennifer P. for giving a wonderful Forever Home to "ISAAC",the wonderfully sweet Greyhound whose family moved and didn't take Isaac. When Brian & Jennifer met Isaac they immediately realized that the other families loss was their gain and adopted Isaac on the spot. Congrats to Brian, Jennifer and most of all to the wonderful ISAAC.
Thanks to new mommy JOAN O. for sending in this beautiful photo of her new baby girl "DINA". Little DINA had a broken hock and was retired because of her injury. Forever Home had the leg mended and then along came Joan, and fell in love with this little Black Beauty . As you can see, Dina is a papmered little girl and is very much loved by her mom. Another happy ending for one of our Forever Home Fur Kids.
"BENTLY" is happy in his new forever home and now that the weather permits he is out helping his new family do some landscaping. Bentley says he will like it much better when the grass comes up!
Bill has settled right into the now 22 foot zoo. The first night we were home he flopped over on his back on the living room floor and slept. Bill loves his new siblings, especially his baby brother Jake. I am so glad that they both came into our family at the same time. They have bonded well and Bill has bonded with Lylie and Gracie also. Gracie is absolutely smitten with Bill. She does everything she can to get noticed by him then runs when he does notice her. Bill is quite the gentleman around the girls and the birds. He does have a wild side and loves to play and play hard. We had thought about changing his name, but Bill fits him quite well, as in Wild Bill (instead of Hickock it is) Hough.
Here is one of our 3 baby Greys that went home just recently. Her name was "HOPE", and now her family calls her FEATHER. We thank her new mommy Teri for sharing some of their adorable photos with us . Feather is quite a handful, but her family adores her.
We would like to congratulate Frank & Donna who have taken "MATT" into their home and hearts. Frank & Donna very recently lost their Greyhound named CHASE when he died suddenly from a cardiac issue . Their other Greyhound SIDNEY now known as BONES was very lonely without his companion so Frank & Donna adopted MATT. The house is full again and the Grey kids get along famously.
Our thanks to Jeff & Christine for sharing this GREYT pic of their Forever Home boy "YODA", who is obviously happy at home. This was only 1 day after adopting him and he already has staked out the bed as his own. Looks like a dogs life isn't too bad!! This is what we love to see, our Forever Home Fur Kids being a true family member. Congrats YODA you have hit the adoption lottery!!
Our thanks to Judes family for sharing this GREYT photo of "JUDE" relaxing at his happy new home, on the huge bed that Dad bought him when he came home from Iraq on leave in Feb.
Our thanks to Rumor's mom Cynthia for sharing this photo of her little girl, "RUMOR", know known as "CAMERON". Cameron was a very scared and spooky little girl when she came to us, and in only 2 short weeks, Cynthia helped her become a happy and confident Greyhound who now romps with her family and is no longer afraid. It is happy Forever Home endings like this that make it all worth while for us here at Forever Home Greyhounds. Thanks Cynthia for doing such a wonderful job with your little girl and for sharing your success story with us.
Our thanks to the Cronin family for sharing this photo of their Forever Home boy, "BOBBY", He looks so content playing with his stuffed animals! This is a prime example of a true success story, and a families love for their Greyhound. Congrats to both the Cronins and to BOBBY. Everyone is a true winner.
Thanx to Suzette for sharing some adorable pix of her new Forever Home Babies, "ECHO" and "SONYA SONAR". Their new Daddy has made them stunning new personalized dishes, so I guess we know who has him wrapped around their little Dew Claws right ?
Thank you to the family of "LITTLE BIT", who were kind enough to share some wonderful candid shots of their little girl helping mommy cook, and even letting her feline friend help ! This is one pampered little Greyhound and we are thrilled for her and for her wonderful Forever Family!!
Our thanks to Leslie for sharing photos of "TONY", who obviously has settled in very nicely in his downstate NY home with Les, who also does Parrot rescue . This fur kid has helped Les make her new house a real home and it is clear that he and his non Greyhound brother are both very happy and well loved.
Our thanks to Karol for sharing some gorgeous pix of her newly adopted Forever Home boy "DORIAN". Dori is such a lucky boy to have a wonderful new mom like Karol, who has a vast amount of Greyhound experience to share. As you can clearly see, Dorian has made himself quite at home and very quickly found his way into Karol's heart AND her bed !! Congrats to Karol and to Dori and we hope they share many happy years together.
Here we have "EMMA" with her adopted brother "PLAYBOY" going head to head for sofa space! Thanks to Vanessa from Fit Furry Friends: Fursonal Training for sending us some greyt pictures!
Out thanks to the Timmes family for sharing many beautiful shots of their 2 Forever Home girls, "STORMY" and "LEXI". When they first adopted the girls they were quite shy and even a little scared, but look how they have blossomed. All the love and attention have really paid off. The girls are now happy and outgoing, and the belles of their NJ neighborhood.
Many thanks to Becky and Shannon for sharing some adorable photos of their gorgeous boy "YAHTZEE"!
Our thanks to the Ruppel family for sharing this GREYT shot of "HARRY" in the Adirondacks!
Our thanks the the BERGAMI family for sharing some fabulous photos of "QUINCY", who was adopted just in time to have his very first CHRISTMAS in his new FOREVER HOME. He and his new sister LEXI are 2 very lucky Greyhounds indeed as you can clearly see . Merry Christmas Quincy ! We are all so happy for you and your wonderful new family.
Quincy now has a gorgeous new sister named Maddie (formerly Leila) to help him break in the giant Doggie bed. Our thanks to the Bergami family for sharing the wonderful photos of their beautiful fur kids.
"ASHLEIGH" seems extremely happy with her "BOYS" while sporting her new MINK TRIMMED COAT that her mom made for her to keep her toasty warm this winter. A happy toasty ending for sweet ASHLEIGH and her FOREVER FAMILY...
A Letter from Boris's new Mom: "BORIS" is doing great! My husband has warmed up to him a lot! My 3.5 year old daughter loves him, but he is still a little skittish around her because she is so active.and he definitely likes to just sit and relax! Ha-ha!
Nola's mom sent us lots of greyt pictures! She has (2) siblings Theo (a rat terrier) and Celina (another grey).
Letter from Margot's adopted Dad, Dave:
We adopted "MARGOT" in Feb of 2006. She is a real joy and very affectionate. She is an absolute sweetheart and is a full member of our family. We renamed her Gogo, but also affectionatley call her Stoops (because she is so darned stoopid!), but we wouldn't have her any other way.
Our thanks to Claudia and Michael for sharing these adorable pictures of their recently adopted girls, "TREVA" (shown on next slide), now known as Dido, and "BRYNN", now known as Sheba, who are obviously very much at home and relaxed in their new Forever Home in Keene, NY. Claudia and Michael came to us untending to adopt a single Grey, but the 2 girls worked their magic and Claudia and Michael simply could NOT resist!
SHEBA's (from previous slide) "grey-sibling"
Our thanks to Carol Ellis and her Grandaughter Ariel for sharing with us this beautiful photo. It is plain to see how bonded "DESTINY", has become with her little human friend Ariel. Greyhounds make such wonderful companions, and most of them adore children as you can plainly see. Congratulations to both DESTINY, and the Ellis Family and we wish them many many years of love and happiness together.
Our thanks to Marty & Hilarie Wells for sharing this teriffic photo of their Greyhound "ASIA" getting her sea legs. Marty and Hilarie adopted little Asia from us this Summer while in town visiting friends and family. Asia loves her Forever home in the Carolinas and is one of only a few Greys who have their very own boat!!
Our thanks to KEN for sharing some wonderful photos of his gorgeous boy,"BEETHOVEN", with us. Ken adopted Beethoven after he lost his best friend ARTHUR. Beethoven sure knows how to mend a broken heart, and he and Ken now share a wonderful life together. We are sure that Arthur would approve !!
We are so happy to see how obviously happy and content "ASHLEIGH", is with her wonderful new Forever Family. She loves dozing in the hall, or helping Mommy Jennifer with the laundry. When she isn't busy doing that she enjoys hanging out with "Her Boys" Erwin and Robert. Congratulations Ashleigh, you have certainly hit the doggy lotto. We love happy endings like Ashleigh's.
Our thanks to Andrew and Andrea for sharing this precious pic of their 2 fur babies, "LILAC LILLY" and her tiny Chihuahua best buddy Roxie. As you can see, Greyhounds can coexist quite nicely with smaller creatures. Just ask Roxie!
Thanks to Dr. Jamie's mom, Phyllis for sharing this photo of "DR. JAIME", who is very very happy in her forever home. Jamie is such a beautiful girl.
