There has been talk about pet illnesses and deaths from Nutro products over the past 6 months or more but the company has done nothing to recall any of their products. Recently, Consumer Affairs recently stated that Nutro Pet Food was under investigation per the FDA, and then this week, the FDA stated they were not. There seems to be new news everyday, so we wanted all of our adopters who may be using Nutro products to be aware and to continue to follow any updated information. Today, May 4th Nutro did issue a statement that they were pulling their Greenies line of pet dental chews from supermarkets and other mass markets only to be sold through veterinary hospitals and pet specialty retailers per Truman Lewis from Consumer Affairs.com

Pet owners Left Confused regarding Nutro Pet Food Investigation VinNews.com reports that Laura Alvey, deputy director of communications with the FDA stated Nutro Pet Food is not under investigation. The FDA has as well issued a public statement it is not investigating Nutro. However, Lisa McCormick of ConsumerAffairs.com states an anonymous source told her the FDA does have an ongoing investigation on Nutro Pet Food. What's going on?
